From artists to artisan cheese makers, these farmers markets will expose you and your family to the community, healthy foods, and some of the most interesting individuals in the area.
Orlando’s Farmers’ Market at Lake Eola– If you like spending your Sunday in the great outdoors, this is the market for you. Located in the scenic Lake Eola Park, this location offers family friendly fun and stunning views. Open every Sunday from 10:00am-4:00pm, the Farmer’s Market at Lake Eola offers fresh seasonal produce and the opportunity to see some of Orlando’s best local talent. With live music, beer, and wine, the Orlando’s Farmers Market is the place to be on Sundays. Don’t forget, your furry friends are always welcome too.
Maitland Farmers’ Market– If you’re looking to beat the usual farmer’s market crowd but still experience great produce, bakery items, dry goods, and plants, the Maitland Farmer’s Market is the place for you. This market takes place every Sunday from 9:00am-2:00pm at the beautiful Lake Lily Park at the intersection of Maitland Ave and 17-92 in Maitland. Plenty of parking is available.
Central Florida Farmers/Flea Market– If you’re looking for more of a flea market feel, try visiting the Central Florida Farmers/Flea Market. Vendors carry a variety of antiques, collectibles, crafts, produce, furniture, and new and used merchandise. This outdoor market has approximately 300 dealers and is one of the largest events in the area. Held at the Central Florida Fair Grounds at 4603 W. Colonial Drive, this market is open from 5:00am until dark every Saturday and Sunday.
Audubon Park CommunityMarket– Market– Since 2009, the Audubon Park Market has been Central Florida’s source for the best selection of local food; proudly offering locally and sustainably grown, raised, farmed and fished foods, as well as carefully handmade, prepared meals and grocery items. This pet and family-friendly celebration of food, friends, art, and live music takes place in the Stardust and Shag’d parking lot at 1842 E Winter Park Road every Monday (rain or shine) from 6pm to 10pm.
College Park Brunch Market– You just can’t say no to fresh produce, delicious food, smoothies, cupcakes and more. This smaller farmers’ market offers a great alternative to the traditional weekend markets and gives you a chance to speak with the vendors to really get the lowdown on their products. Located in the parking lot of Infusion Tea at 1600 Edgewater Drive, this market takes place every Sunday from 11:00am-3:00pm, but has been postponed until later in the fall.
Apopka Foliage and Fresh Market– Join vendors selling fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, along with the area’s best foliage growers every Saturday between October and May. In addition, you’ll also find a variety of locally made food products, different food trucks each week, and live entertainment. The Apopka Foliage and Fresh Market is held in Kit Land Nelson Park at 10 North Forest Avenue, Apopka FL, 32704 from 8:00am-1:00pm every Saturday.
Casselberry Farmers Market– This market features more than 20 vendors with fresh produce, home and garden supplies, fresh baked goods, health and wellness products, cooking demonstrations, and a variety of other goods and services. Held at Lake Concord Park at 95 Triplet Lake Drive (behind Casselberry City Hall), this market is hosted from 10:00am-2:00pm from June through September.
Farmers Market in the Artisan Alley in Deland– Located in a little Artisan alley in the city of Deland, between New York and Georgia Ave, is a local growers-only farmers market. This market takes place every Friday night from 6:00-9:00pm at 104 S. Artisan Alley, Deland, FL. Stop in for some fresh produce right off the vine; this is one of the few markets in the region that offers only locally grown products.
Kissimmee Valley Farmers Market– This farmers market takes place every Tuesday from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Dakin Avenue in Kissimmee. It features locally grown and prepared items including produce, meats, dairy, plants, herbs, crafts and food. With a great scenic location in Historic Downtown Kissimmee, it is a lovely place to get your early week shopping done.
Lake Mary Farmers Market– This market features fresh produce, large and small plants, orchids, honey, baked goods, assorted nuts, handmade jewelry, wood crafts, pet food and treats and much more! Come out every Saturday from 9am-1:30pm to experience everything this festive and fun market has to offer. Located in Central Park at Lake Mary City Hall, at the corner of Lake Mary Blvd & 4th Street; 100 North Country Club Road, Lake Mary, FL.
The Mount Dora Village Market– This lakefront market in the beautiful Elizabeth Evans Park features over 30 vendors, each whom offer an eclectic mix of fresh produce, plants, honey, fresh seafood, bread and cheese, arts and crafts, and more. This market also features the Swift Paws mobile lure course every week so you can bring along your four legged friend for some exercise! Open on Sundays from 9am-2pm, this market is located at 125 Edgerton Court, Mount Dora, FL.
Oviedo Farmers Market– This farmers’ market features baked goods, produce, farm fresh eggs, food, honey and plants. It also offers a great opportunity to learn about the history of the town. Come out on the first Saturday of each month, from 8am – 1pm, at the beautiful historic Lawton House; 200 W. Broadway, Oviedo, FL.
Oviedo Good Neighbors Farmers Market– Opened in the fall of 2013, this market is located on an actual farm! Visitors can shop, as well as tour 15 acres of veggie gardens, pigs, cows, chickens, goats, and turkeys. The market has locally grown fresh fruits vegetables from small family farms around Central Florida. Options include strawberries, tomatoes, peaches, citrus, blueberries, zucchini, squash and other seasonal items. It also will have a wide variety of premade items like organic jam and jellies, wildflower honey, freshly made cheeses, eggs, salts, sauces, marinades, nuts, dried goods and chutneys. Dr. Phillips Farmers Market– If you haven’t been yet, the Dr. Phillips Farmers Market invites you to visit and check out all that they have to offer; from farm fresh produce and unique artwork, to live plants and gourmet snacks. This is a family and pet friendly market so bring the whole gang on Sundays from 10:00am-2:00pm; located at the Dr. P. Phillips YMCA, 7000 Doctor Phillips Boulevard, Orlando FL, 32819.
Sanford Farmers Market– From week-to-week you’ll not only find fruits and veggies at this market, but locally hand and homemade goods, all set to the soundtrack of local musicians who perform weekly. This is the place to be on Saturdays from 9:00am-2:00pm, so come see what all the hype is about! Winter Garden Farmers Market– This Market has quickly grown into a community staple and offers a large selection of vendors; from locally grown produce and baked goods, to homemade soaps and fresh flowers. They even have live entertainment each week! Held Saturdays year-round from 9:00am-2:00pm, it all takes place at the Downtown Pavilion; 104 S. Lakeview Ave, Winter Garden FL, 34878.
Winter Park Farmers Market– This market is packed with people and bustling with energy. Featuring plants, veggies (ask what’s local), baked goods, and more, this is one of the largest farmers’ markets in Central Florida. It is held in a restored train depot that is a historical landmark in Winter Park, and they put out some great products. Many vendors have been on the waiting list for years trying to get a spot! This market takes place on Saturdays from 7:00am-1:00pm at 200 West New England Avenue.
Orlando Organic Brick and Mortar Produce Stores: If you aren’t a farmers’ market kind of person, these brick and mortar stores offer the same quality produce, but with more convenient hours for those who like to get their grocery shopping done quickly and avoid the crowds!
